Pain is a warning signal that something is wrong, its the body's natural defense mechanism to alert you to a problem.

Osteopaths are extensively trained in assessing the neuromusculoskeletal* system to aid diagnosis of the cause of pain in the body’s frame.
An accurate assessment then allows us to choose a treatment plan for you which will give the best chance of helping you with your pain.
If we think you are unsuitable for osteopathic treatment we will tell you so, explain why and recommend other avenues you might try (this may include refering you to your GP).

*nerves, joints, bones and “soft tissues” including muscles, tendons and connective tissue etc.

About County Osteopaths
Joanna Young Osteopath
Osteopaths Joanna Young, Lynette Topham, Jonathan Mussen and Viv Marks welcome you to County Osteopaths. Set in the heart of the rural countryside, yet only five minutes from both the city of Worcester and Junctions 6 and 7 of the M5. The clinic has beautiful views across the Worcestershire countryside. With ample free parking on the drive and partial disabled access, it offers a relaxing, professional and convenient environment for osteopathic treatment.
Osteopathy is an established system of diagnosis and treatment for a variety of musculo-skeletal problems involving the joints, bones, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues. Osteopaths consider the patient from a mechanical, functional and postural viewpoint to allow the body to function with the minimum of wear, stress and energy. Mechanical problems occurring within the body can create imbalances within the normal tension of the spine. This may affect the nervous and circulatory systems and lead to pain, disability and dysfunction.

Cranial Osteopathy is a gentle form of Osteopathic treatment safe for the treatment of babies and children.
With it we aim to relieve tension that may be causing aches and pains or making it difficult for the baby or child to relax.

During a study on cranial osteopathy for babies, some parents perceived the following changes in their children’s behaviour: reduced colicky crying, improved sleep, less unsettled irritable behaviour and increased quiet happy spells.
