welcome to county osteopaths
The NICE guidelines (the National Institute for Clinical Excellence) recommend manual therapies such as  osteopathy for the treatment of low back pain.

Osteopathic treatment helps to ease backpain and backache throughout the spine by restoring movement to each joint and relaxing any abnormal muscle tension.

You may also have pain, tingling, numbness or weakness in your legs associtated with your back pain.  This should ease along with the back symptoms when we treat you .

On your first appointment we will:
a)  start off by investigating the underlying causes of your symptoms through asking about the history of your problems, assessing your posture, movements and your reaction to some simple tests (such as reflexes)

b)  explain to you the diagnosis reached and, with your consent, treat you based on that diagnosis using a range of treatment techniques chosen to suit your complaint and your body type

c) explain how quickly we expect you to feel better after this treatment, tell you some simple do’s and don’ts, show you some exercises where necessary, advise you  how many treatments we think your condition may need.

At the end of your appointment there is time to pay for your consultation and book your next appointment if one is necessary.
In between appointments please ring or email us if you have any questions.
