Football is fairly tough on your legs so over time you tend to lose the spring
in your muscles and then strains and injuries become more common. Commonest leg
injuries include: twisted knees, cruciate strain, hamstring tears, groin
strains, shin splints, fractured* toes and ankles etc. However, footballers can
also suffer from back strains, head injuries and broken* noses. In fact any
muscular strain can happen during training or in a match. Osteopathy can help
with all joint, muscle and bone things. We aim to get all of your muscles
working in balance and your joints working in perfect balance. Exercise and
training advice is tailored to the individual and given as necessary.
*Fractures need medical attention initially. Osteopathy can then help to
accelerate healing and to strengthen the site of fracture once it has healed.
If your bones have mended but still ache in cold weather or feel less strong
than they used to then we have techniques to improve them…and don’t worry it doesn’t hurt!
