Whether you ride for fun or are a serious competitor you may benefit from osteopathy at some point in your riding career.

Riders are generally very fit and strong and so tend to bounce back from many injuries that would floor someone less fit. However, injuries can gradually and silently accumulate until eventually you are in pain for “no apparent reason”. Falls on the coccyx, bangs on the nose, and impacts with something hard, for instance falling off onto a jump, are some of the injuries that seem to have the biggest effect on the rider.

So whether its one dramatic fall which has left you uncomfortable or a series of minor incidents, you may soon find yourself with backache, neck pain, muscle spasms or tension, sciatica, neuralgia or joint pains.

Osteopathic treatment may help by releasing tension throughout your body. This may also enable greater fluidity of movement, which may improve your seat and  allow greater harmony with your horse.

You do not have to be doubled up in  pain to contact us. Osteopathy may help with general tension and the inability to relax.
