For more information please see our FAQs which can help you to see how osteopathy can help you to feel better again.
We give longer treatment session than most because we find the best results come with the most careful and thorough approach. This way we can get to the bottom of even the most complex and long term complaint. However, despite this we do not charge any more than most. Before we offer you an appointment we will discuss your or your child's case with you on the telephone to ensure Osteopathy is a suitable treatment, If after this we are still not sure whether Osteopathy would help, we may offer you a free 10 minute consultation at the clinic.

Our charges are:
Adult's initial consultation (90 minutes) £49
Adult follow-up consultation (45 minutes) £35*
Children's initial consultation (90 minutes) £46
Children's follow-up consultation (45 minutes) £32*

*Family Rate: £5 off each follow-up consultation when a parent and child (or two children in the same family), have follow-up consultations in the same week. The fee for each follow-up consultation would then be £27 for a child(ren) and £30 for an adult. Each person must first have had their Initial Consultation at the normal rate. The child must still be in full-time education.

At the initial consultation a case history is taken, examinations are performed as necessary and the first treatment is given and any exercises or precautions explained. At follow-up sessions there is a short interview followed by treatment, exercises and precautions are reviewed as necessary. The number of treatments required depends on how long the symptoms have been going on and how many contributary factors exist.
Back Pain
Back and neck complaints
post-it-note-faq.png
The vast majority of patients who see an Osteopath will do so because of back or neck pain.

Osteopathic treatment is widely regarded as the established treatment for mechanical problems of the spine. For more information on specific types of back and neck complaint please see our FAQs section.
Osteopathy for the body
Osteopathy is an established system of diagnosis and treatment
for a variety of musculo-skeletal problems involving the joints,
bones, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues.

Osteopaths consider the patient from a mechanical, functional
and postural viewpoint to allow the body to function with the
minimum of wear, stress and energy. Mechanical problems
occurring within the body can create imbalances within the
normal tension of the spine. This may affect the nervous
and circulatory systems and lead to pain, disability and
dysfunction. At County Osteopaths we also specialize
in Cranial Osteopathy. This is a gentle but deeply effective
approach to treating musculo-skeletal problems.

Osteopathy is a safe and natural approach to health care for all life stages and Osteopaths are increasingly being asked to treat babies and young children for complaints attributed to mechanical strains acquired before birth and during the birth process. Cranial Osteopathy is a gentle form of Osteopathic treatment ideal for the treatment of babies and children. Conditions such as colic, sleeping difficulties, feeding problems, recurrent infections, restlessness, growing pains, ear, nose and throat (ENT) problems, and irritability may be treated. Please see the FAQs section for advice and information on these and a whole host of other childhood complaints.
