At the initial consultation a case history is taken, examinations are performed
as necessary and the first treatment is given. At the end any advice or
exercises are given and we will discuss with your what to expect for the next
few days and when (or whether) you should come back.
For children under 16 years old the process is almost the same except for the
fact that a parent of someone acting in loco parentis must remain in the
consultation room throughout the consultation and advice and explanations will
be explained to the parent if until the child is old enough to take
responsibilty for their own health. At follow-up sessions there is a short
interview followed by treatment and advice. Exercises are reviewed as
necessary.
